Villa Pier’Art did not begin as a simple rental project. It is first and foremost a personal story: a house rediscovered, reimagined, renovated and lived in, with the wish of passing on to others a little of what we ourselves experience here.
Our story
Villa Pier’Art tells the story of a place remembered, an ambitious renovation and a certain way of welcoming people. We wanted it to remain beautiful, generous and high-end, but also deeply alive, like a home where people genuinely enjoy staying.
Having grown up at Haut-Bois in the 1980s, I realise how lucky I was to know this place as a child. My wish was simple: to pass on to Pierre and Arthur the same memories, the same freedom and the same sense of refuge that I experienced here myself.
At first I imagined a house closer to the centre. Then I opened the door of this tired old thatched home and immediately felt something soothing there, a real softness, a soul. That is what made us want to save it and transform it.

How we host
Villa Pier’Art is not a standardised hotel. It is a high-end family home, maintained with care and designed to welcome guests while still remaining a true home. You come here to live a moment, not to inspect it constantly.
Of course, as in any lived-in home, a small everyday detail may sometimes escape notice despite the care devoted to it. When that happens, we always prefer a simple message so we can correct or explain things immediately, rather than a complaints mindset that ends up spoiling the stay.
Guests looking for a warm, beautiful, comfortable and sincere setting usually feel perfectly at home here. Those who want the exact routines, reflexes and compensations of a hotel will probably be happier... at a hotel.
